Driven hunting in the Ardennes department is open from 1st October 2024 to 28th February 2025.

Hunting is authorised for a maximum of 20 days per season, with a maximum of two days per week. 15 of these days are fixed and must be defined in a calendar submitted before 15 September to the Ardennes Departmental Hunting Federation (FDC08). 5 of these 20 days may be free, but must be declared in advance.

Exception: in state-owned forests, hunting companies cannot add days to their calendar.
NB: Please note that drives in maize fields do not require prior notification.

Driven hunting concerns large game: wild boar, red deer, roe deer and fallow deer. Hunters are required to wear a fluorescent (orange) waistcoat (compulsory when hunting in a drive) and to post signs saying ‘Hunting in progress’ at the main entrances to the area being hunted.

There are specific opening and closing dates for each huntable species. The prefectoral decree can be consulted on the FDC08 website : www.fdc08.com

Enclaves, not listed on this map, may be included within certain territories and may be hunted by driven game.
