To promote environmentally-friendly agricultural practices and production, as well as specific know-how and the image of the Ardennes.

In the Park’s territory, the agricultural zone extends westwards over the Plateau de Rocroi, the Val de Sormonne, the Ardennes Thiérache and, to a lesser extent, northwards over the Pointe de Givet. Identified as a fragile agricultural area, it occupies 45% of the surface area of the region. There is a tendency for grassland to be converted to cereal crops. From a landscape point of view, the challenge lies in maintaining the livestock farming vocation in the western part, as well as preserving the hedged farmland system.
