The outdoors activities

As a hilly forest area, the Ardennes RNP lends itself naturally to the development of outdoor activities.

The diversity of the Park’s landscapes makes it ideal for a wide range of outdoor activities: hiking on marked trails, mountain biking, horse riding, rock climbing, water sports and paragliding. From valleys to fields, from dense forests to high plateaus and balconies, the Park’s territory offers over 1,200 km of marked footpaths and 450 km of mountain bike trails. Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, Long park hiking path, moutain biking area, trail area and numerous local circuits will help you discover the region and its treasures. The Park is particularly supportive of activities that respect the land and its environment. How you explore the natural environment is up to you. But the way to discover them is the same for everyone: with respect. For these natural wonders, as sought-after as they are accessible, are under attack from both a harsh climate and an ever-increasing number of visitors.

Hiking
Discover the Ardennes RNP... on foot!

Whether you’re a beginner, an amateur or a hardened hiker, a large number of footpaths criss-cross the entire territory, guiding you through its many landscapes. Treat yourself to a natural outing.

Bike ride
Discover the valleys of the Meuse and Semoy rivers

for a gentle ride through the landscapes of the Park. Or tackle the steep slopes of the forest on the mountain bike area !

Waterways
As a water territory, the Park boasts a dense hydrographic network!

A perfect playground for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and other aquatic activities.

Bivouac
The Park has set up 4 bivouac areas on its territory to enable the practice of bivouacs in Hannappes, Montcornet, Gespunsart and Revin.

Outside these areas, there are no specific authorized zones, but rather prohibited zones.

Motorized leisure activities

The French Environment Code regulates motorized leisure activities in the countryside. In short, vehicles are not authorized outside rural roads.
